問答一：‘佛規’一般英文翻譯應該是‘Buddha Precepts’才對，那為什麼這裡卻翻為‘Buddhahood Precepts’呢？
封面的設計展示了‘回天的道路與階梯’。老師為何站在天梯冉冉而下，拿著扇子像是在向徒兒慈心闡釋些什麼？那是對應老師曾多次奉母命垂訓頒演《佛規諭錄》及90年代的《十五條佛規》，做為道親修辦道遵循實踐的規條，以利大道廣佈
於四海。
因為這是對應老師的白話訓：“佛規是…成佛的階梯，也可以說是成佛的道路。”就是說，要想回天或成佛必須守佛規，
不然會在天佛院卡住、待處理。關聖帝君聖也曾有訓云：「佛規本是天戒律，不守焉能故家歸。」
問答二：那為什麼‘Buddha Precepts’後又多了兩個字‘and Rites’呢？那是翻譯緊隨‘佛規’後的兩個字：‘禮
節’。
問答三：‘佛規’之名是因為它是由仙佛批示或定奪嗎？非也，佛規是由老母所定，後又慈諭老師闡述佛規真意。‘佛規’的真義是‘要想成佛必守的規律’。

How does the name ‘Fo Gui’ come about? Was it because the holy explanaions were delivered by Buddha?
Answer: The Fifteen ‘Fo Gui’ were fixed by Lao Mu or Heavenly Mater back in 1941. Lao Mu however asked
Lao Shi to descend later in 1971 to thoroughly explain and elaborate the profound underlying meanings of
‘Fo Gui’ so that cultivators have a more solid understanding and not infringe or flout upon them on their
journey of spiritual cultivation and Tao propagation.
It is termed Buddhahood Precepts because that is exactly what it means: the precepts to abide to if one
wishes to return to Eternal Heaven or maybe even achieve Buddhahood!
‘And Rites’ are the translation of the last two words in the Chinese phrase ‘Fo Gui Li Jie’ (佛規禮節).
As was mentioned in Preface from the Editors, ‘Li Jie’ allows one to reach sagehood (登賢關). It was also
mentioned in Foreword that cultivators should aim to achieve ‘Lie Jie’ to the level of “the sincerity
within manifesting through one’s external behaviour” (誠於中，形於外), which then is the true fulfilment
of the Tao’s manifestation and practicality (道的顯露與實踐). Tao cultivators have all heard of the
saying: Li Jie is the tool to ‘manifest Tao’s precious prestige’ (用禮節來顯現道的尊貴).
